About the Owner

Scott Robertson, co-owner and creative director, was born and raised in the suburbs of Cleveland Ohio where he began gardening and creating designs at a very young age. Scott went on to work for a florist where he learned the art of floral design – which led him to eventually moving to NYC where he worked for the famed designer Olivier Guigini of L’Olivier Floral Atelier. While there, Scott was a part of some amazing events, photo shoots for magazines like Elle Décor, Garden Design Magazine, as well as assisting Olivier appearing in The Martha Stewart Show.

After being asked to be the weekly florist for the Carolina Herrera Boutique on Madison Ave, Scott opened his own small design studio a block from the famous New York Flower Market called MOSS.

Back in Cleveland, Scott started his new business venture, STEMS fleur, in his basement in Shaker Heights. After a year business took off and he moved the business to a design studio located in a 100 year old factory in Ohio city. A year later he opened a retail and design studio in the historical Heights Rockefeller building in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

Since starting STEMS, Scott has had the pleasure of working with some amazing clients such as Dummen Orange – North America, designing chic floral designs for Art in Bloom, Columbus Fashion Week, and Cultivate.

The Cleveland Botanical Garden – Teaching seasonal design classes, as well as designing two of their orchid shows, the Holiday show GLOW and original sculptures for their main entrance.

Akron Art Museum – Designing custom florals for fun modern events for their garden opening and other galas.

“I see floral design as art, a chance to send someone a fresh bouquet, hand designed with creative ideas and fresh perspectives.”
